He began his acting career in the early 1970s, appearing in several television series, including The Partridge Family and The Waltons. He made his feature film debut in The Long Goodbye (1973). In the 1980s, Lemmon starred in several films, including All of Me (1984), The Great Outdoors (1988), and The Man with One Red Shoe (1985). He also appeared in the television series The Love Boat and Fantasy Island. In the 1990s, Lemmon appeared in the films The Player (1992), The Santa Clause (1994), and The Santa Clause 2 (2002).
